The Research Project
These days you've been working hard with your batxillerat research projects. I bet that you have learnt a lot about the topic of your election but that you have also has some problems. Why don't you share your views with us? What's you opinion about the Research Project? Advantages? Disadvantages?

Advantatges and disadvantatges of the TdR
The 'Treball de Recerca' is a small investigation project that Catalan students in 2nd Batxillerat must do in order to get Batxillerat. It is qualified as 10% of the total mark and it is compulsory to pass it. Many people don’t like the idea, especially students, but there are also many supporters who think TdR is a great opportunity.
Those who are in favour of the TdR claim that it will bring students a very good experience for their professional future. They will start on investigating and developing an activity that they will probably need to do in their degree or career. If they start when they are in Batxillerat, receive some help and learn some details about how to do it, they are more likely to have a greater success in future investigations at University. That’s why they believe TdR is worth doing.
On the other hand, there are lots of people who think that the negative points surpass de positive ones. Many TdR are plain, dull, inconsistent investigations because pupils don’t have enough knowledge or resources to work about the topic they have chosen. In some cases, they even copy and that’s a waste of time. Moreover, only Catalan do the TdR, in the other Spanish communities they prefer to focus on the university preparation and that’s maybe something that unbalances the level between the two groups of students.
In conclusion, although there are two sides to a coin, I believe that we would better try to concentrate on Batxillerat and forget about investigations, which we will do much more passionately at University. However, after doing my TdR and having such a great experience, I’ve changed a bit my mind and I reconsider the TdR as a fairly convenient opportunity if we choose the topic properly and we do it with enthusiasm. In my view, that’s the only way I can accept the idea of doing this small research.

It seems that the students of second of Bachillerato, in Catalonia, have to write a research project. It's the project that you must do and not fail or you don't pass second of Bachillerato. There are as meny positive as negative aspects of doing this project.
On the one hand, there are many reasons why the project is important. When you do this project, you learn a lot of things and it helps you to organize and develop best when you will go to expose another project when you are at the university.
On the other hand, there are many reasons why the project isn't important a lot.The course of second of Bachillerato is shorter than the first. The students don't have a lot of time to work in this project and they often do this very quickly.
In conclusion, I would say that this project is important, although I believe that students should write this project in first of Bachillerato because they have more time.

Nowadays, every secondary student has to do a final Project called “Treball de Recerca”. This Project is started in the first year and it must be finished by the end of the second year. The Tepic of the Project is free and you can choose whatever you want. You also have a teacher that helps you a lot.
A lot of students think that this project is a waste of time. Some teachers believe it too. They say that doing this project I too long because you spend too much time doing it. They consider that this time would be better used in studying in the traditional way.
On the other hand you can learn a lot doing this project. It’s an excellent way to go deep in one subject that you really like. Usually students say that they don’t study what they really want. This project is an excellent way of learning about this specific topic. A topic that, maybe, you won’t study at university. It is also useful to university because the way of doing this project is the same as in university.
In conclusion and from my point of view, a good project can be excellent and you can learn a lot about an untypical subject that you usually don’t study in school.
The Advantages and Disadvantages of “Research Project”
Can the “Treball de Recerca” help you? . The Research Project was created because it is supposed it contributes some dedication and some information about some subject.
In the first place I believe one disadvantage is that you need time to take some information about some subject and time to do this project. Students need time because Batxillerat requires time and time of studying.
On the other hand, I think that one advantage is that it helps a lot to you how do a very good project and to serve for other projects. Moreover the topic what you investigate gives to you information.
In conclusion, however you have to dedicate a lot of time, the Research Project contribute information how to do one project. In my opinion, I’m agree with this project.
